    5 cents test

Ive been reading many references in posts to the 5 cent test. Ive searched and searched but cant find our what this actually means. Sorry to ask about something that has most certainly been discussed many times before, but I just cant seem to find the answer.

    Re: 5 cents test

    Hi there tb,

When you do a search there is a dropdown box for how far to search back.

Default is 1 week. Change it back in time and you will find plenty of posts.

    Cheers

    Re: 5 cents test

The 5 cent test is used to measure the depth of the coffee in the basket that will not be too much and reaches the shower screen.
I did a simmilar test using play doh. I put a blob of play doh in the basket then placed the group handle on the geoup then removed it. Measured the height of the play doh then that gave me the correct finished height of the coffee.
    Does this all make sense?
    Regards

    Re: 5 cents test

its a simple test as you have read- dose up put a 5c peice on top, lock into place release and see if the 5c piece has left a mark (or much of), if yes, dose less and vise versa.

Crisp Image love the playdo idea, have to steal one the kids and give it a try.

What will we do for a test when they remove the 5 cents from circulation?
