    LeLit Combi Group Handles?

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi CS,

I have searched, but didnt see this answered before. I also sent a message to coffeeco, but am impatient and havent heard back yet.

Will a Lelit combi pl041 handle/portafilters fit on the lelit combi pl042? I am assuming they kept the handles/portafilters the same between model changes, but want to hear from someone who knows specifically.

    Cheers,
    Ryan

I dont know but Im very interested in the answer as Im interested in getting a spare handle.

Does the fact that youre asking this question mean youve found somewhere that sells portafilters for a PL041?

    Damien.

    Hi Damien,

I have found the PL041 Basket and Handles, but in the US. According to the sites rules, Ill have to PM them to you. I am still waiting for the answer as to if they are the same. The site I found them on can not confirm since they dont sell the machines to test it on.

    Cheers,
    Ryan

    Hi Ryan and Damien,

We can get complete handles but theyre fairly scarce.

FWIW, I dont reckon the handle anatomy is that well suited to conversion to naked but I guess we wont ultimately know til somebody has a crack at it...

    Thanks Chris,

So are they going to be the same between the PL041 and PL042? Are they the same part numbers from the manufacturer? Not sure if you were importing the 041s at the time to know for sure.

    Cheers,
    Ryan

PS Thanks for getting me connected with the LeLit. Just got it home today.

    Got your PM, thanks Ryan.

I had seen that site also and compared the part nos with the parts diagrams in the instruction booklet that came with the machine. They did seem to be the same part nos but are in pieces so youd need to get a handle as well as the metal case, a spout, a spring and basket(s) - adds up to approx $70 (USD I presume). Couldnt see a fully assembled unit there but I dont imagine theyd be too tricky to put together.

Maybe Chris could post an estimate if he can source a complete portafilter?

    Re: LeLit Combi Group Handles?

My main reason for asking was to make it a naked handle anyways, so I would just need a handle and case. *But you are correct that you would also need the spout and basket clip.

And good work comparing the part numbers, I didnt have the book at the time.

    Cheers,
    Ryan

Ta - dont take my word for it though. If youre tempted to buy online from the US, make sure you check the part nos as well to make sure Im not going mad (it was pretty late at the time I did my comparison the other night and I wouldnt want to lead you astray).

    Hiya

if you check Lelits website, youll see that all their machines use the same parts for the boiler / group - MCI36 with a MC047 gasket.......

by extension it would seem that the same group handles and portafilters will work on all of em!!

    Hiya

Ive found a supplier for the handles

MC001 = 33.32 Euros (the large cast portafilter)
    MC048 = 7 Euros (the handle)
MC002 = 4.27 Euros (the double shot basket)
MC053 = 7.81 euros (the spout part of the portafilter)

forgot to get a price for the MC056 part (spring clip)

Total would be around 55 euros for a complete group handle!

thats 90 Auzzie bucks before postage!

if people are up for getting a spare lelit portafilter, lets consider a group buy, could probably get more discount!!

Thats really good of you bleugh. Can I suggest you check the postage costs as it may work out to be more economical to buy a spare machine. Then youd have 2 of everything! :)

    Hello Bleugh,

I spoke to Allan F and I know for a fact he has 5 spare group handles. He probably also gets 200 emails a day...

Might be worth picking up the phone? :-? Alternately, we can source one for you when we place our next machine order which will probably late be this month...

Sorry to throw water on the fire Ben, but Alan F is the importer and his philosophy is to hold stock only to meet the requirements of his clients. I can understand why. Its easy to hold many $$$$ in parts without even trying....

I suspect you may not get too far... :-/
