Help for newb. Need good latte at home!

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Howdy,

Been thinking about getting a machine for a while.

Looking around I had thought I had settled on the Saeco Via Venezia to acquire for the learning phase.

However, I was looking at the Nemox Fenice machine and it really puts a twinkle in the eye reading the specs.

The Fenice is around $100 dearer depending on where you plan on buying the Saeco. * ;) *Are the pretty specs worth it though?

Also, it seems a bit trickier to source a Nemox, whereas a Saeco is everywhere. *Is it easy to get the right basket for the Nemox?

Do I want the SB grinder? *EM0480 or something else?

Finally, is there any other machines that should be considered at $500-$600?

    Thanks for your input.

If you dont have a grinder already I suggest the Nemox Dell Opera (combo unit)

Or the same machine sold under another name
Lelit Combi from sponsors Talk Coffee or cuppacoffee

Boy! Youre a pessimist Chris.... :(

That scenario is very, very rare and shouldnt really enter into the decision making process in my opinion. Lots of very happy CSers own one of these machines and love em.... 8-)

Sorry mate, not meaning to be...

Just mentioning it as something that I guess you need to weigh up.

No experience with the machine personally so take any advice from me with a grain of salt ;)

    Excellent news Col.... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Im sure you will be very impressed with the Lelit and also sure that if you can tee it up with Chris, he will be more than happy to show you how to get the best out of her.

    Have fun.... 8-) :)
