    Gaggia Classic needs service

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
I have an elderly machine that is probably still worth paying for a fix.
The problem relates to steam generation. From the way the steam control know now turns I suspect something mechanical has happened.
I live in the Blue Mountains, NSW. I cant find a list of service agents.
I have been doing the usual web searches and getting nowhere.
Shiro seems to have dropped the Gaggia Brand.
    I need some help.

Try calling this company. They were an authorised Gaggia Service Centre previously when Gaggia had their own web site.

    Obriens Electrical Appliane Service
14 Abbott Rd, SEVEN HILLS, NSW, 2147
    Phone: (02) 9620 8188

Also it is not far from the mountains.

I think a call to Di Bartoli would be worthwhile too... They used to handle Gaggia machines and since they are one of our Site Sponsors, Id be giving them a go first ;)

    Re: Gaggia Classic needs service

I am only just back on the site so missed the replies.
I went to Saeco site having found out that they are the designated agents now for Gaggia.
Shiros web site shows it has dropped Gaggia from its product lines but Saeco has yet to add Gaggia. The Saeco site seemed to having some problems by the way.
The Saeco site led me to some service agents. I picked OBriens as I thought I might be travelling their way. That fell through so I have couriered my machine to them, earlier today. Otherwise I would have supported Di Bartoli.
I checked Gaggia I have and its a 07/2003 build so maybe not that old, eh?
With the changeover OBriens warned of possible delays if they had to order parts.
Gee its going to hard to go without good coffee at my place for a while. Its going to cost me at the Restaurants. *:(

    Re: Gaggia Classic needs service

My son has a Gaggia Classic and was on the hunt recently for a steam knob. I referred him to Di Bartoli and they didnt have one in stock, and seems they still dont. Im sure its no fault of their own and probably due to the changeover from Shriro to Saeco.

While he was looking for this part Shriro referred him to Saeco and Saeco had no idea what Shriro were on about. I guess these glitches can happen during a changeover period as communication filters through the ranks.

My son ended up finding the part he was after at a Petersham outlet, cheaper than anyone else had quoted for a part they didnt have. Hes very happy now that he doesnt need the aid of a shifting spanner to texturise milk. ;D

Thank you Ben for referring people to us. Dennis, sorry that we did not have the part for your son, it is been hard to get parts for Gaggias the last month due to the take over period between Shriro and Saeco.

Enclose copy of the press realize for any one interested.

Thanks Renzo, and yes, I can understand how this must be frustrating for you.

    Cheers!
