    Sunbeam EM6910 Settings

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hi C-Snobs, just upgraded my home machine to the Sunbeam EM6910 + Rancilio Rocky grinder *;D

I know that you can change some settings on the Sunbeam, and I did a search using "Sunbeam EM6910 settings" but drew a blank *:(

I have read quite a few threads on this forum containing or mentioning setting changes for the EM6910, but I was wondering if someone of great knowledge and wisdom would like to provide me with a summary of the OPTIMUM settings for this machine (if such a thing is possible) *:)

    Cheers
    Rick

It is determined by what is in the cup.

If i put +2 for group temp as suggested in the link, ill certainly get burnt coffee.

Sunbeam has consistently updated the EM6910.

Newer one are coming out with different parts.

From shiner drip trays, to different gaskets, to different filter baskets. No kidding! Even the frothing pitcher was made smaller (after ppl complained of the rediculous 1L pitcher)

Quite importantly, the depth of the showerscreen seems to be different amongst different machines, with the older ones having more clearance and being more suitable for overdosing.

If i overdosed like shown in the vid, my machine will probably need a replaced group collar in a few months.

Hence, what works for X will not work for Y.

    Ya have said it well and presented in a clean manner.. But the majority will not grasp;

    1: Fresh beans :o
2: what works for X will not work for Y ::) AND
    3: 2 + 2 = 5 for really good coffee :P

Handed over the first EM69AMB to a person who is so deserving.. Tossed in a rattelware jug and she can not believe it.

Worse ting about the basic 6900 series is no control over teh group or steam temp etc.. So with those using an EM6900 - It is default all teh way.
