From Krups to a Rancilio or lelit

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hi , Ive found it interesting reading around this site as recently my Automatic Krups XP9000 has died & I figured not to fix it . Thought I would go for the Ranchilio or Lelit ...

I previously used Lavazza beans with my krups & coffees where pretty good but I was hoping for better.. Do you think if I got a good grinder like the Ranchilio rocky & one of the machines above I could get better cappachinnos...

Also the sponsers on here sound good but they all appear to be in victoria.. Is Mail order ok with coffee machine or can anyone recommend in the Sydney Area...

    thxs Don

Based on what Ive been reading the LeLit is the way to go. It has great build quality and performance. Most are saying its easily on par with the Silvia and much cheaper. The boiler in the LeLit is directly over the group so it will be saturated, meaning much more stable brew temps without the fluctuation in the Silvia due to the boiler/group being offset.

Dont use Lavazza or any other prepackaged bean as they are stale by the time they reach you. Find a local roaster, buy beans that are 3-5 days old from the actual roast date and you will see what fresh really means. Later!

Went from a 14 yr old base model Krups to a Lelit.

LOVING the Lelit! Such a good little machine.

And yeah... grinding your own, yr not going to know yourself.

If not in the Western Suburbs... its worth the drive ;)
