EM6910 grey water gradually oozing out after expressing

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
And before anyone asks, I have NOT connected it to the washing machine!

This machine gets used twice daily, doing 3 cups each time. over the last month or two, Ive noticed grey [dirty?] water coming out from under the drip tray. Removing the drip tray reveals a small ocean emanating from the triangular orifice at the rear of the tray area.
Reading the "...pressure gauge not working, bitter coffee" message, I now realise could be the relief valve exit, and I am now regretting not back flushing more often. Ive had the machine since late December, and Ive backflushed it only a couple of times.
Do I have to do the eventual cleanout of the relief valve [if it is indeed the valve being blocked], or is there something else I should check?
    Any help would be appreciated,
    David :-? :-?

    Hi David,
We have the same problem with our 6910. Our original machine never had this problem, but this one (replaced by Sunbeam about 7 months ago) has done this almost from the start. Its almost like the drip tray doesnt mate to the outlet properly. Ive tried the drip tray from the old machine but it still leaks under the tray. Im interested to see if anyone knows the fix.
    Cheers, Geoff

A bit more info. The water is only coming out while I use the steam wand.
Does this make the relief valve the culprit?
