Sunbeam EM6900 Group Head Seal issues

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hi everyone, I have just replaced the Group Head Seal on my Sunbeam Cafe series EM6900 and it doesnt seem to lock up and seal properly and starts to leak everywhere even when cranked right around to the right. Are these replacement seals the same thickness as the original? They seem to be a different colour to the original one seems, more like a silicon based seal.
    Any help would be appreciated.

They seem to be thinner than the original so you can call Sunbeam and ask for a silicon spacer that goes between the machine and seal. Saying that, it doesnt always work and the problem could be the housing that holds the portafiller.

What ever you do, dont pack silicon under the seal as this can cause an uneven level with the seal.
