I bought a Baby Gaggia in Italy in 2002. It worked well until a few days ago when it suddenly stopped heating. I took it to a repair place in Dandenong VIC and they told me the heating element needed replacing. The repair cost is $150. Problem was they couldnt tell me how long it would take because the part wasnt in and they seemed reluctant to follow up how long it would take to get it in! It was like they expected me to accept an open ended arrangement. Anyway should I spend this much on my 7 year old Gaggia or upgrade to a new machine? If I decide to get it fixed where is the best place to go? I live in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
