Sunbeam EM7000 - Cleaning Cycle question

For those who have performed the cleaning cycle...please advise if the pressure gauge is supposed to give any pressure indication.

On the previous EM6900/EM6910, the pressure gauge virtually went full dial during the backwash process. Having just completed this same process on the EM7000, I noted that the gauge did not move at all (there was definitely pressure, as water was trying its best to escape from the top of the grouphead)

Just wondering if the "non-indication" is normal.

    Strange.
It's just an evolved 6910 to me.
I dont know how they'd bypass tbe guage during the cleaning cycle but it's not impossible.

If the guage works when making coffee I wouldn't worry about it.

Just ring Sunbeam to confirm and ease your mind.
