My parents have had a Nemox combo machine (badged Quaha) for almost 20 years and it is still churning out its daily coffees. fairly recently it has started leaking from the steam wand which i gather is a typical problem with the type of tap used on this machine. I have searched the internet and tried few fixes for this problem including the heat shrink tube one. While they all work to some degree none are a permanent solution. That and the fact that the stock steam wand is a bit hopeless to begin with has made me start to think about replacing it with a more functional wand - one with real, replaceable seals etc.
Has anyone out there attempted this? and can anyone make recommendations as to what brand steam wand would be the most appropriate for this machine? I was thinking perhaps a rancilio sylvia wand?? but i m really looking for guidance
