    Seriously cute.

I'm a little surprised that we don't see many more 3D printed thingies as everyone has a mate with a printer.

Love this effort though, nice work Gonzo.

Yeah that's cool, nice work Gonzo

I recently discovered my local libraries have 3d printers and will print stuff very cheap. Have a search on thingiverse, there's a bewildering amount of models there. I printed portafilter holder forks for my mazzer I found the for about $3.

I run Ubuntu Linux and I used FreeCad to design it. The resulting mesh looks like:

I printed it on my [Aldi] Cocoon Create printer in ABS filament. Why ABS? Well I don't have any black PLA. The filament used cost $1.28.

You see the hole in the PF handle slot? I put that there to enable me to tap a M4 thread for an adjusting screw to support the PF handle. I wasn't confident that I could measure the required height for the support. As it happened, the screw hole is right on the balance point for the PF, which means it wobbles a bit. So I didn't use the screw, and I made a rubber packer to support the handle at the outside diameter.

    I'll investigate funnels, thanks

    Gonzo
