    6910 won't backwash

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
I bought a second hand 6910. Everything works except the gauge. When I attempted to do a clean something appears to be blocked as it pumps, the pump seems to stall and the water and cleaner sit in the pf and remain there under pressure. Is this related to the gauge issue as well?
Any clues as to what could be wrong and what I can do please?
    Thanks Pete

Yes youíve got at least one blockage there and it sounds like itís fully blocked. The gauge tees off just next to the 3-way solenoid so if the solenoid is blocked then the gauge usually doesnít work. Try running a descale cycle through it first with plenty of soak time then go back to trying to backflush it. You might find the steam and/or water valves are blocked too. Have a few goes as often they free up this way with a bit of work. If it wonít then itíll need to be disassembled and manually descaled/unblocked.

    Thanks Leroy,
I have done a descale but may not have left it long enough .I've noticed the steam runs on a little too after I turn it off. Only in the last couple of weeks.
