Simonelli Oscar and Musica group seals in silicone.

The factory seal is a rubber conical and available. I found a cafelat ns2 that is correct and silicone conical.

But... I have now fitted a 6910 blue silicone seal. It is a flat faced seal (not conical) and is the correct thickness. It needs the inner section cut out that has the lips to hold the 6910 shower screens, and a kitchen knife does this easily.

So far it is sealing better than the conical did.

Nice pickup on the 6910 seals. Are these at a better price cf. Caflāt ones?

Are you using IMS precision shower screens or can suggest alternatives?

Iím looking to get three as coffee season is about to start up again. Iíll fit my two blue silicone seals then to the Appia II.

Im using the std Musica shower screens.

I'd say the 6910 seal is comparable to a 8.5 mm cafelat. It's a bit taller than the red 8mm that I had, bringing my handle back about 1hr (30į).

Price, um looks pretty similar to coffeeparts prices. I just think I prefer the flat silicone seals, and I had a envelope with 2 of the 6910 seals spare in it.
The conical was a bit of a bugger to get to seal (esp with the blind or pressure gauge on it) but once again when I pulled the seal, there was a bit of crud above the seal (I was sure I had been in there cleaning since realising I was overdosing by a fair amount). I think there is a difference in my cleaning between giving it a wipe and a scrub, and actually getting some light up there and having a proper go at it.

Anyway, we will see how long it lasts.

6910 seal as fitted, and std shower screen in action.
That new pump certainly makes it shower down!
