I was battling with steam performance on this 13 year old EM6910. Thermoblock descaled thoroughly but still, the steam wasn't performing as well as it should.
In the past I've installed EM4820 steam tips on these machines which vastly improves performance due to restricting the steam output. I didn't have any spare at the moment.

I had a spare Breville Dual Boiler wand which looked like it had the same ball on it as the Sunbeam. Swapped it onto the EM6910, fit perfectly and has now made the machine usable again.
I've never really been satisfied with EM6910 steaming capability, even when working perfectly, but the three hole tip on the Breville wand is a great design.

If you have an older machine that you are struggling to get good steam performance from, first try getting an EM4820 steam tip for it or if you can get a Dual Boiler wand, just swap it over. Plenty of Dual Boilers out there for parts now as they're getting old.
