Rancilio Parts in Melb (+ element without boiler?)

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi,

Ive picked up the old Rancilio Silvia (with a busted element) from my office, which has been replaced with a drool-inducing Vibiemme Domobar Super Lever, thanks to Chris from Talk Coffee.

As a bit of a project Ive stripped down the Silvia to replace the element and give it a full service, well deserved after having 10,000+ shots pulled. *Im hoping for two bits of advice..

Can the heating element be purchased on its own and fitted into the existing boiler body?

Can anybody recommend somewhere in Melbourne to pick up Rancilio parts? *Ill be looking for the heating element, a group seal and perhaps a few other seals. *Ive come across coffeeparts.com which seems to ship all the seals etc, but they list the boiler+element for $170, as opposed to an element on its own.

    Cheers,
    Paul

Chris tells me Grinders Coffee in Melbourne are importing for Rancilio, so Ill give them a call on Monday.

Id still love to hear if anybody know about replacing just the heating element rather than the whole boiler. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the boilers have changed since the original ones.

    Cheers,
    Paul

I have the exact same problem. Chris, could you share the contact in Melb with us? (do you have a rough price estimate?)

Cheers and thanks for the help, Hideous
