    Pressure Guage on Silvia

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi all!

I have a Rancillio Silvia (thanks Greg) and would like some indication of pressure.
I saw a pic once a while ago of a Silvia with a pressure guage and am trying to find who/how.

    Any ideas?

    Cheers
    Pete

Yeah I have seen all of those, but none offer any instructions of where to attach the pressure guage or how, what model gauge etcetc... Im looking for a "how to" more than anything else...

Search google groups. It was covered in Alt.Coffee a few years ago.

Rather than a permanent gauge some here including myself just remove the spout and fit a gauge to the PF to check OPV setting.

If you go for a permanent installation I feel you will need to source a gauge rated at a temperature suitable for a espresso machine, water pressure gauges I found were only rated to 60 degress celsius, not a issue when fitted to a PF as pressure can be read before machine heats up. Also fittings available in America may not be available here.
