Where in Syd to buy a new espresso machine+advice

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi all
Im about to buy a new machine. Im looking for a manual, plain, well build machine. From reading these lists for a week Im looking today at Mocopan in Pitt St at a Sylvia Rancilio. I have also just rang Auspresso at Annandale and they have 2 lever machines Ill look at $900/$1200.
Ill phone Sienna Coffee at St Marys later.
What are other places in Sydney (pref inner suburbs/CBDish) that stock machines so I can browse and have a look? And any advice on lever machines (never used one) or other advice.
Experience: Used a Krups for 2 years, now dead so need to replace it. Did 4h playing at Vittoria Coffee College.
Desire: to make espressos like I tasted in Vienna :-) Flat whites/Cuppochinos for wife.

I bought my Silvia from Mocopan (well my mum did), great price.. leave the advice to the experts and people with first hand experience on sites this Snobs and Crema..

It would be worth a visit to http://www.tobysestate.com.au

They sell ECM machines and know A LOT about coffee... at least you can touch and feel the machine in person.. if you have the cash.. once youve seen it.. youll want the Giotto like everyone else..

    Good luck..

The site sponsors should be able to help you out - most, if not all of them offer a discount for forum members.

Personally, I can vouch for Forsyths in Naremburn - they are the sydney distributors for expobar, which means that they sell the lovely dual-boiler, e61, temp controllable barista minore (aka expobar brewtus).

Thats one fine machine ... if you dont mind a machine that looks like a tractor. Does a top job of espresso making though!

    Hi all
Well I ended up buying a Silvia from Mocopan in Sydney. They offered the best price and delivered at no extra charge. In fact it was a little over 24 hours from order to delivery so thats pretty good. I also bought a Rocky undosered grinder as well.
Just picked up today some Wooloomooloo beans to practice on from Tobys Estate Coffee - it will be interesting to see how long it takes me to learn to use the Silvia.
