How to replace steam wand on Saeco VV

    Gday all!

I want to replace the anemic steam wand on my via venezia. If you take the plastic thing off it cant reach down in a bigger jug.

Is it possible? (Surely). Anyone done anything similar?

    Thanks

I suggest you get a 300ml jug, I found the Via Venezia didnt have enough grunt for anything larger.

The 600ml jug was perfect for my old VV. The secret is to leave the Panarello on & remove the outside piece. This will give you a long enough wand with a single hole in the bottom. I used to get great microfoam with that set up.

Ok, sounds like I need steaming tips rather than gear mods!

    Thanks

Its been a few years but here goes:
    Drain water from steam wand
Fill "Incasa" jug to just under the bottom of spout (enough for two lattes)
Dip tip into milk & open steam knob (full)
Quickly lift tip just under milk surface until you get the sweet "ts ts" sound
Keep still until temp reaches 30 deg C
Then dip tip deeper into milk & find the correct angle that allows the milk to create a whirlpool action. From memory you need to be at the edge of the jug with a slight tilt.

    Hope this helps.

Ok, so you create the foam first, then swirl that foam around in the whirlpool. I will give it a go, thanks!
