Nice looking bit of kit though.... 8-)

Probably be right at home in a busy cafe employing a number of staff working various shifts. May also be handy in a household where a number of users pull shots from a single household machine. Would cut down a lot on variation from one person to another (and the consequential disappointment of sub-par espresso).

Like redzone though, I am more than happy with my Pullman Tampers for now and cant imagine changing any time soon. Wouldnt mind having a play with a "Dema.RAL" though, just to better appreciate the design and engineering aspects... :-?

    Re: Demeral Tamper

had the opportunity to play around with some demo ones before it came to market.

Its good....level tamp every time, 100% of the time. In terms of setting the depth of the base and tension on the spring, it is a bit finicky.

This tamper is designed for high volume places such as Gloria Jeans and Hudsons. Once set, the tamper is rock solid and delivers every time.

What this tamper does not allow you to do is play around with different tamping pressures and depths easily, unlike any normal tamper or the Espro. The click on the Espro is designed to be a guide only, the Espro can still be used like any other tamper; whether you want to tamp lighter or harder, it is up to the end user. This is the only criticism I have of this tamper - the inability to experiment with different doses and grind settings when working with different coffees easily.

Angelo has created a great tamper that will deliver a perfectly straight tamp each time you use it. Good work.

    Re: Demeral Tamper

:)Good to hear from Ol Smokey, I would like to correct some points about the tamper though.
If people would like to use the tamper as "any normal Tamper" It can be set to its full travel (10mm) and the spring tensinoned just enough to return the tamping face to its null position. This will allow you to play with different pressures and quantity of coffee. Secondly we do set them to depth to suit all make and models of coffee machines prior to shipping them out. Thirdly! The style of the handle has changed sligtly and it comes in two lengths (75 & 85mm) long, it may only be 10mm difference but ergonomicaly it makes a big difference. Soon it will be available with a convex base and the delux model is available with its own base(with rubber mat). We can custom make them for barista comps competitors, all you have to do IS Talk to us.

    Behmor Brazen - $249 - Free Freight
:)Reply to Redzone! This is what they said about La Marzocco when it first introduced the Horizantal Boiler, Twin Boiller & Mistral!!! Now everyone wants to build multiple boiler machines with PID,
We are not in the same legue and we dont pretend to be, but we think we fall within all design criteria. That is!! Practicality, Functionality, and if you are going to design something people are willing to spend good $$$$, you might as well design it with "Beuty & Style".

    Cheers.
