    Hi Fatboy,

Are you sure that its the same one , even on expobar australias website they only have the one model listed . All the major online Aussie retailers Ive looked at only have one model as well . One thing I notice on all the models available in Australia is that they only have the one pressure gauge(for steam pressure) that was available on the initial model , they dont seem to have the brew pressure gauge as well.

But who knows maybe they havent updated their website.

It is probably inevitable that the updated model will make its way to Australia but I would guess it will take several months or longer just like the original model.

Yeah, its not out here yet. I get the impression that it will be out later next year.

Apart from the 2 pressure guages, its also got an insulated steam arm, and probably a few other fancy gadgets.

Yeah, I think that we wont get it until at least Feb.

Ive heard tell that it not only has the insulated steam arm, but also spring valves, like a commercial machine. Many domestic machines use compression valves, which can be screwed up after a while and start leaking, needing to be rebuilt. With the compression valves, you cant screw them in very tight ... and if, for some reason, you do have to rebuild one, the parts are cheaper. Chris Nachtrieb added photos to his explanation here: http://www.chriscoffee.com/faq#18

WLL also says that its possible to adjust the brew pressure using a knob that can be accessed simply by removing the drip tray. No more taking the whole shell off and fiddling with barrel adjustments! Id imagine that you could go from 88C, 8 bar to 95C, 9.5 bar very easily indeed ...

    Cheers,

    Luca

Just reviving this old thread rather than starting another one....

I really like the look of the Expobar Brewtus II, and wonder if anyone has heard anything on availability in Aus (I guess that would make it the Barista Minore II) anytime soon?

    Cheers and TIA...

I was told April by an Expobar dealer, but there were no firmer commitments

Appreciate the info.... many thanks. *:)

I have read conflicting info on whether the US version Mk II is vibe or rotary pump - does anyone know which is correct?
