    Hi all,

A quick note to inform you that if you have a Coffeelab design tamper, hold onto it- as its now a collectors item.

Steve Bailey, head honcho of Coffeelab Design has informed me that tamper manufacture has ceased for the time being...

Should I receive any more information, Ill be sure to pass it on... *:(

Weird and sad... though their site seems to be still working for me. Hopefully its just a short-term thing and Steve gets back in production soon.

Went down to Melbourne on Saturday and came home with the new VBM and Chriss last Coffelab tamper that he had. Was it better than the others he had there :-/.......probably not, but it was his last and it seems to fit well, so I had to have it ;)

Congrats on the new kit Steve,

We will of course expect to see pix of the machine and the new tamper in http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?board=BrewPointy ;)

The Domobar Juniors are pretty scarce in Australia at present. Hope you enjoy it.

This is sad news indeed as Im replacing my Vivaldi S1V2 with a Speedster & wanted to order the correct base to replace the 53mm base I have now. Does anyone know of any coffee equipment suppliers that stocked the bases?

This is really disappointing. Since this news, a number of people have commented to me that they think the Coffeelab tampers are the best that money can buy.

    Cheers,

Sorry to rehash an old thread but I was talking to Steve a little while ago and it seems he has sold coffee lab design. They have a facebook page.

Reviving an old thread here. I've had one of these tampers for many years and love it. I've just upgraded to a 58.5mm basket though. Did they make bases in 58.5mm? Anyone know where I might find one??

They used to be for sale on Ebay under the brand name 'Cino'. The sizes were only 58mm or 53mm.

Anyone know if the thread size is the same as any other brands?
