    Replacement wires for espresso machine

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi all

just got a nasty surprise (not a shock, thank goodness!) when my machine emitted a spark and tripped the switch in the meter box. *After removing the panels I discovered an insulated wire had been in contact with a stainless steel hose. *Both the insulation of the wire and the woven stainless steel had worn/burned through leaving the inner rubber hose and the copper wire exposed. *Ive since seen a ss hose on coffeeparts but am wondering where to get a replacement wire. *Does it need to be anything fancy or should I be able to pick up something at dick smith or bunnings?

Machine is a Rancilio S24 if that makes a difference.

    Thanks

Do not have the Machine or the wiring diag... But the wire needs to be able to carry the current...

If you get something that has at least 1mm it should be rated for at least 10A at 240V and if from a place that deals in heating elements etc... It should also have a heat resistant shield in addition to the usual insulation.. Or they can supply heat shield sheathing that you can slide over the wiring....

Many places might sell wiring... But it HAS to be at the correct rating for insulation etc.
