tamper for ESP4/51 1-2 unpressurised basket in Breville 800ES

    Hi,
Where can I buy a tamper (51mm) to suit Breville 800ES PF

    I have the unpressurised ESP4/51 1-2 basket.

I was looking at the Incasa one but does anyone know where I can get them in Melbourne?

Also I saw a Barista Basics 52mm tamper. *Does anyone know if this will fit?

    Cheers

We manufacture tampers to any size, including for the Brevilles. 52mm will be too large for the Breville, if youre just after an approximate fit youd be best off hunting down a 51mm or smaller unit. Otherwise wed be happy to help out with one that fits properly.

It does depend on your budget though - a Deluxe will set you back around $130 including postage, though as some of the comments on the other thread you started http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1266020024/ show, people who have them feel theyre worth the money.

Though I guess if youve started this thread perhaps youve already decided to try an off-the-shelf one?

    Hi,
    Thanks for the comment.
However my budget cannot reach that far unfortunately. Mainly because I will probably be upgrading my system later down the track to a commercial 58mm one.

Anyway the standard basket from Breville is 51mm I gather and the spoon/tamper fits nicely.

However, with my new ESP4/51 1-2 unpressurised basket it seems slightly wider...about 1mm. When I put the spoon tamper there is slightly more free play. So maybe the 52mm one might fit.

I might just check out the local shops and take my basket and see if there is any cheap tamper that fits.

I had a generic convex stainless tamper (52mm) for my Saeco via venezia (not bought from a sponsor) and i loaned it to my uncle with the same setup, and it fits the depressurised breville basket...!
