    Emptying silvia boiler

I am about to post my ex (Silvia) interstate and wondered if anyone knows how to empty the boiler. *Obviously I dont want to run her dry, but at the same time dont think a boiler full of water is best for travel. Anyone here have any knowledge about this?

    Hi Matthew,

Maybe you could rig up something with a bike-pump to blow most of the water out via the feed-line to the pump? Should be worth trying and not much pressure should be required,

Assuming that shops test their machines before sending them out to customers, do they empty the boiler first or just post it with water in the boiler?
