New Silvia Owner - Is It Meant To Rattle

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hi there, I have recently purchased a silvia & rocky but my question is when pulling a shot of expresso the machine seems to be excessively loud & sounds like it is rattling.
There are no cups on the warming tray & so the rattle is the machine.
    Is this normal ????? Thanks

    Hi Ricster

They do vibrate a bit. I watch my cup doing a jig on the drip tray everytime I pull a shot.

Its not the drip tray itself thats rattling is it?

Sometimes there is a loose screw or two inside aswell, when I got mine the back wasnt screwed on very tight, fixing that quietened it down alot.

If you are worried about it, if you can drop it back to where you got it from and Im sure they will either help of put your mind at rest.

Ill see if I can get a sound bite of mine running.

    Cheers

Mine also makes a bit of a racket - nothing too bad, but its not quiet. I had a bit of a poke around at first because it bothered me. I think its just because theres a lot of metal on metal. You could probably quiet it right down with small rubber spacers (or washers) between some of the parts.

Personally, Ill just put up with the 27 seconds of noise.

    Behmor Brazen - $249 - Free Freight
Thanks everyone, I spoke with Mocopan here in Sydney they suggested if I have any concerns for me to organise a time to drop in and see them. That way they will run through any concerns with me on the spot. So hopefully in the next week or two to check things out. If there is anything to report I will drop a note here.
    Thanks again
