Does anyone know of where I can source premium espresso cups e.g. thick walled, white, around 60ml volume.

    Re: espresso cups

I like a round/bowl shaped demitasse instead of the tulip shape. Nuovo Point & ACF are my two standard cups. I find the NPoints to be a little narrower in the mouth (probably due to the thicker walls). Ive seen the tulip ones at a few places - both online and in stores. Not many sources for the bowl shaped NPoint cups. If Im whacking doubles, I prefer not to have the glass half ful (i.e. not to the brim) , so I tend to use a ~160ml cup.

When Im in the mood for bling, from Freedom, prob made in China.

Glass is good for observing both the colour and volume (of crema and black gold), I think I prefer ceramic.

Thanks for the great pics and input rice. Currently looking at some illy and various others on ebay but they all seem to have a logo or some sort of graphics. Dont mind the tulip style from the coffeeparts link. Will keep looking.

If youre in Melbourne marcox then Id try Chefs Hat in South Melbourne. I got some white espresso cups there and theyre pretty nice, fairly thick walled.

Better still I found some nice italian ones at Coffee Company in Carlisle Street, the real deal. No pictures of either Im afraid.

I also saw some quite nice ones at Icoco in Victoria Avenue Albert Park (great cafe by the way) but their stock tends to change a lot it seems.

    Good hunting!

Actually I tell a lie, I do have a picture... you can sort of see the Italian ones from Coffee Company on top of my machine if you view the large image of my avatar. Theyre the ones lined up along the front.

    Cheers,

    Dennis
