    Coffee accessories and storage

I love cool shiny things, and Im probably not the only one here. Does anyone else have issues finding space for their ever increasing collection of coffee paraphernalia?

Its a problem thats been bugging me for a few months. The portafilters sit on top of the machine, but sometimes the cups do too. If the cups dont fit on top of the machine they have to go in the cupboard where no one can see them. Cleaning supplies are never on hand, and just get lost in the kitchen drawers. The tamper, mat and knock box take up bench space. It all just looks a mess most of the time, except for the shiny machines, which will always be perfect. ;)

Id also never really seen a good way of storing poratfilters, so I put my mind and limited woodworking skills to use over the last 2 weekends, and came up with a solution of sorts.

The rack had to fit under the bench overhang. I didnt want it to encroach on bench space, but the base had to be deep enough to fit stuff in the drawers too.

Shot glasses, thermometer, cleaner, group head brush etc.

I built a matching storage area to go on top of the microwave, so we can use this space too now.

Everything has a place now, OCD under control. :P

I was wondering how everyone else is storing their coffee accessories?
Id also like to see pics of other collections. :D

Very nice woodwork! I love it.

This is the only photo I have of my storage system. Its a silicon mat that holds one handle and a couple of baskets/tamps etc

    Awesome work JoeC.

I love the "gun rack" style for the group handles and the drawers for all the odds and ends is perfect.

    Fantastic job!

Thats got me thinking now about my storage space, or lack there of. My coffee paraphernalia is kinda dispersed around the kitchen in different cupboards and drawers.
