    VST basket vs Tamper Size

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Santa bought me a VST basket, but forgot to tell Greg my Pullman tamper number for a match.* Greg appears to be on leave.* My basket is 0.4mm larger than my tamper.* Is this OK, or should I wait till Greg is back to see if he has a basket that is a bit smaller? My basket diameter is 58.65 mm

    Thanks

I have a similar issue - my wife bought me a Pullman barista for christmas from a local sponsor, and its a bit smaller in diameter than my 18g VST, so now my basket always extracts from the outer ring first.

I havent tried VST yet in case I need to return it. Im keen to try it, but would like to know whether my tamper diameter is close enough for the basket, or shoul I wait to see if I can get a smaller basket closer to my Pullman tamper.

0.4 is reasonable but we normally try to get a slightly better fit. If its not been used we can do a changeover. Email me greg@coffeetamper_dot_com_dot_au, Im not officially back until next week so you may not get a reply until then.
