Help with data on San Marino 1 Group

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
I have been looking around for a good used HX machine and have dug up a 1 Group San Marino approx. 2-3 years old. Unfortunately I havent physically seen the machine yet, but was wondering if anyone knew how I could find out more about San Marino (CMA) equipment. I looked at http://www.cmaspa.com/ site but found it less than inspiring. Any help would be appreciated.

This one is not a San Marino but looks very interesting.

thats a Wega ... kinda e61 in theory. The local illy cafe (the loft cafe, Macquarie Centre) uses a three group one, but not very well. So maybe illy sell/distribute them.

I recognise that machine. I think I spoke to it the other day when I phoned the ANZ!

San Marino CKX is a rebadged Wega Mininova.
Im not sure what the relationship between CMA and Wega is, but I think Wega is a fully-owned subsidiary of CMA.
Wegas are supposed to be renowned for their quality (or so Ive read).
2 big Aussie distributors are Genovese in Melbourne and Neoma in Sydney,...

    Dorf,

At risk of sounding unprofessional, however as a site sponsor trying to look after the best interests of list members, *you should be aware that older models in the "Compact" range made by CMA had some serious problems. They were sold under atleast 3 brand names that I know of, all the same machine.

Other 1 group models made by CMA (ie other than "Compacts), did not suffer the same problems.

Strongly suggest therefore you find out the EXACT model type and report back before making any decisions.

Thanks for the feedback to date, I had a quick look at the machine today and was not too impressed. Owner also was not able to demonstrate a good pour - no creama to speak of.

Back to the drawing board I suppose.

It is an interesting machine. Definitely a compact. I cant see a SCART connector but it looks like it might have progressive inputs, and surround sound. It also appears to have a remote control which is handy. I hope there is an RS232C input as well this is handy for updating the firmware on the machine.
