    Reputable Repairers

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
My beloved Faema has died - well not quite but it is tripping the safety board for power points after it has been on for about 2 minutes. Does anyone know a competent and reliable repairer in Perth?

    Hi Grendel,

Thats bad news indeed. I dare say that many repairers will find this machine too old to source parts for. That said, Coffeeparts sell replacement elements, seals, thermostats etc., for this machine. If you find a repairer, they may find the problem for you. If you can source the parts, then theyll probably be able to repair it for you.

The most common cause of earth leakage is a broken element. The elements are replaceable in this machine and Coffeeparts has them for about $80.

Im sure this Faema will live again. These machines are too good to throw away.

    Cheers,

    Mark.

Try Coffee and Tea Suppliers of WA
    Phone 92481500 (in Malaga)

They do fantastic work (been through their workshop) :) You should see their restored La Cimbali machines.... to die for (and hence my interest) ;)

Also sell fresh roasted coffee beans (which I would also recommend)....

    Hi Grendel,

Sorry to hear about your machine, we used to import Bezzera Coffee Machines into the country. I used to use Supreme Coffee machines and Coffee Doctor in WA (Perth). Have a look in the telephone directory and see if they can help you.

    Regards

    Grazie all,

I shall try all avenues and it shall live again!

Except that is, the avenue that involves me playing amateur electrician - this I sense would be the path of foolishness. . .

    Behmor Brazen - $249 - Free Freight
    Hi Grendel

It may be worth calling on Mick Flood from Beanz n Machines along Duoro Street? in Fremantle? When I was looking at Faema machines at Vittoria Coffees office, they referred me to him. When I was there, I think I remembered seeing some reconditioned Faema machines, as well as a Cimbali Jnr machine (which are very similar) and I understand that Cimbali now owns the Faema company.

    Hope this helps

    Cheers

    Ken
