Future Icons - can you predict one

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
I have started this thread to view the opinions of others

    What Coffee Machine and
What Grinder would in some future time become Icons?
    Roasters of the future

That is to say, a piece of second-hand equipment you would give your right arm to own, some time in the near future.

At sample range of machines have that the distinction of icon status are - the
La Marzocco and Rancilio Silvia also the Mazzer Grinder range and our own Corretto Roaster

There must be some machines in the current 2008 offerings that would make the
“Icon Machine List” or will the old favourites keep other contenders at bay

So look into your crystal ball and put forward you prediction

    This will be Interesting

Wow tricky one, beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder and it does depend on the photos and lighting. The La Marzocco range is mentioned and I will probably upset people for saying this, but the GS3 is one ugly machine and it possibly looks worse in the flesh, because I am talking about the La Marzocco Marketing photos.

If you get Boston Legal over there, you may have seen Saffron Burrows on the show and thought, wow yes, not bad. I then saw the picture below (saffron is the one on the left).

On this basis, if I dont like the look of the GS3 in the marketing pics in the flesh it must be well....

I think we have lost a lot of style over the years and some of the older designs are fantastic, I particularily like the (tasteful) Art Deco type designs on machines....so sorry I dont like the Speedsters either.

I think these are pretty cool though
