    XMT7100 problem

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Hi all, I've just PID'ed my machine (Older style Lelit PL042) using an XMT7100 controller. When I switch it on it works perfectly but after a variable amount of time the controller will shut down for no reason I can see. It's mounted externally away from the boiler so I wouldn't think temperature would be an issue (especially given ambient temps in Tassie right now). Am I missing something? or did I just get a dodgy unit? Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!

    Rob

What SSR are you using, and where is it located ?

It's a cheapo Fotek 40amp mounted inside the right hand side of the case where the controller is mounted, as far from the boiler as possible.

Suspect dodgy transformer in the controller. It's usually that simple.

Yeah, probably right. I guess $25 doesn't buy a lot of QC. Cheers, Rob.
