Coffee machine shorting after service
Picked up my coffee machine that had been just had a long overdue service. The notes state the machine was tested OK.
Get home and the machine trips every power point in the house. What's going on here? How could it have passed testing??
Take it straight back. I assume you have RCD protection on all your home power points? Maybe the shop doesn't.
What machine? It's possible that water was left in the tank or some water splashed out of the boiler onto the element, this would cause an RCD to trip.
You could try leaving it in a warm place for a few hours with as many covers and accessories off as you can, out in the sun would be good. This could dry up any moisture and it could be ok.
It's a SAECO Via Venezia. Just had a look at it; it's definitely a little wet. No idea obviously about internally Will try drying it out.
