Does it make sense to buy BWT filter system in Australia?
BWT Bestmax Premium sounds cool.
But I am under impression BWT is not that popular in Australia.
So buying filter cartridges (or even filter head) might be... a bit more difficult.
Does it make sense still to try to buy it or just stick to default solution (no idea if it exists)
There’s several good brands sold in AU. Everpure, 3M Cuno, Brita etc.
Is there a reason you want this one?
I believe BWT marketing in US is strong. A lot of online reading are US specific since it's a much bigger market.
Probably that what makes me think BWT is one of the best options available.
My attempt to Google good "local" alternatives are failed.
Brita Purity looked like a popular option but I am under impression there are too many not quite positive feedback about it.
My opinion, buy local, plenty of good water filter systems available in Australia with good back up service and parts.
We have a filter in our motor home, cartridges only available from the US, it's a pain in the rear end and expensive.
I doubt anything we say will convince you gerbi, sounds like your mind is made up.
PS As a matter of interest I just did a quick Google search and found a company called Dolo in Victoria selling BWT gear.
Thank you thank you.
Yes, I googled that company too.
I totally agree with "buy local" - hard to beat this.
Nope nope nope, I am not convinced yet.
My problem is - I can't understand which local system is good and reasonably priced.
I'm sure other members who use filter systems will be able to advise you, why not start another thread asking that question in the title, reckon you would have em coming out of the woodwork.

I am now UK based and am researching the BWT BestMax range and for some reason, it seems to be available cheaper in Australia than it is in the UK, from my quick research. That includes adjusting for FX and VAT/GST.
Brita solutions are available in the UK but not as common it seems.
