    Hi Stan, welcome to CS.

I reckon the Nemox is outstanding value for money. Obviously cant comment on the specific one you are looking at, but used one for over 12 months and very pleased with the output for a couple of cups at a go.

There are numerous threads here, also remember the Nemox was the top of the range badge, it has appeared in various guises, Imat, Qaha, and Lelit and maybe others.

If you do a search on these you will get some good info. Also check out Greg Pullmans site, click on the Pullman Tampers link on the left, he has a good review, etc that is really informative.

If you are looking for above entry level but not at high end, in other words, intermediate, then I reckon it is the best value for money.

Hello Stan, I am also a noob but have been using the Caffe Fenice and Caffe Lux for a few concentrated days now. This combo is basically the Opera in the form of two separate machines - espresso machine and grinder.
For a grinder I was using a Capresso Infinity 560 grinder for french press. The Lux blows it away for fine grinding. The grinder in the Opera is great value for the money especially for low volume. I had my seller mod mine it to stepless, but other than that its the same thing separate or not. The grinds are clumpy and hot. Clumps can easily be worked around with the employment of Weiss distribution. The heat can be worked on by pulsing the grinder one second on to two off.
Please ensure that the machine in question is not a first gen machine because the 3-way valve was not introduced until the second gen. Have your seller confirm the existence of the valve. The machine heats up to steam after pulling a shot in about 2 minutes. The shots from the two machines are full of crema - it does what its supposed to do.
The only drawback is the short wand, with froth assist tip. I can get something close to microfoam with it, but not latte art quality. I believe that you can get good foam with it but dont expect to be wowing folks with rosettas. There is not enough power to proberly create an incorporating vortex. You can surf the air hole but the incorporation would happen by hand spinning of the jug instead of steam spinning. Also remember to hit the hot water switch after steaming, to bleed out the wand and cool the boiler before closing the steam off. Other than that, for a new person like myself, getting the Opera for $250 Australian, Canadian, or American would be a deal that I would not hesitate to jump at if foam were not a top priority.

    Behmor Brazen - $249 - Free Freight
Thanks for the info, however the price went over what I was willing to pay for a second hand machine, so back to the original plan, Will have to wait until end of January/start of February to purchase and new machine.
