Green stuff out of steam wand

Hi all - noticed that the FAEMA Dues 4 hole (which not does not get a lot of use given the 2 hole up the other end) has slight greening of the end (on closer inspection its a build up not wearing away of the chrome plating) and light green stuff on the top of the drip tray accumulating underneath where the outlet of the steam wand sits...any ideas?

    Cheers

PS. Its been about 6 months since I pulled the bung and did the messy job of a full boiler flush. I usually just drain the boiler as per the book via the hot water tap which of course does not get rid of all of the water. I wonder if its the lack of use of the 4 hole tip because it does not happen in the 2 hole and the 4 hole has an occasional drip from it...so it may be that I need to give it a quick hit occasionally.

Thanks Graham - I didnt think it was a big problem because water and brass can lead to green...

Sounds like its got a cold!
A good flush with vitamin C should fix it.
