    Expobar Office Control Pump Running

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Today my office control started some odd behaviour.

The boiler fill pump is running continuously and forcing hot water out of the steam wand (not quite steam). I opened up the steam valve to relieve the pressure and it 1/2 filled a 600ml milk pitcher. The pump stopped for a little bit but started again 20 - 30 secs later.

This obviously isnt normal behaviour, but does it sound serious?

    Cheers

    Sen

Hi Senator, it needs to be looked at...

It will be the autofill board and the element may be shot as well...

Time to visit your locak bloke I am afraid.

Hope its a quick repair :(

    that sounds expensive :(

Ive turned it off for a while and back on again. its heated up ok, so guess the element is ok. pump came on briefly and then off again (as it does most mornings when switching it on cold) but as soon as pressure built up, it started pumping again.

moved the machine, there was quite a bit of water underneath it.

Did a google and came up with another thread on here which started out as a vac valve (?) but eneded up being control board replacement.

took out the power and opened up and had a look around inside. there didnt appear to be any leaks or anything inside. made sure that all the connectors were well seated but basically, didnt really do anything.

turned it back on, heated up as normal, no continuous pump etc, made a normal shot, steamed a jug of milk, still nothing wrong or unusual.

    somthing loose maybe?

It started this morning when I was making a single. Hadnt adjusted the grind and it choked the machine. It was then that the problem first started. Something stuck open / not closed properly that should have been is my best guess, but seems to be ok (for now). Will still have to keep an eye on it I guess

May even be a slightly scaled up Level Probe too Sen.... :-?

With the power off and unplugged, remove your cover(s) again and see if you can withdraw the Probe to check it out, then clean if necessary. Make sure to note what depth its set at before removing though.... ;)
