    Diamond Italia

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Was wondering if any people have had anything to do with the new Diamond Italias?
Specs seem ok and it comes with a 24 month warranty.
    Any opinions?
    Tony

Tried one at a Melbourne Retail Coffee Specialist today - made a superb coffee.

Site sponsor - Pioneer Coffee Roastery seems to have details on the product:

We have some in stock. As with all the e61 lever models, it makes a great product. The machine looks great, but next to something like a VBM or Domus you can see the differences that set the machines apart, but all great machines in terms of the quality of the coffee they produce. I love the styling of the Italia too.
See our offer on them here: http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1163933441

Just on a further note - we have had a terrific response - from this product in the lead up to Christmas.

Stocks readily available through our distributors - go to our website - and key in your postcode to contact a retailer nearest to you:

    Looks Great,

Cant seem to see it written anywhere: Is it a single boiler or an HX?

We have had one on the bench for a few weeks now. It makes a great coffee, and is definately as good as many of the much more expensive e61 models. As a home machine it would probably be my preference over everything, except maybe the Giotto, and priced much better with a longer warrenty.
You can tell why they are cheaper, plastic sides and back being the main reason. But for home, once its on the bench it wont get moved around. Its a good compact size too. I absolutely love the look of it, kind of 50s Chevy front grill.

Just quick point of clarification - the front and back panels are definitely stainless steel. ;)

I just read the specifications on the above website and it said :-

"Full stainless steel chassis, with chromed, heat resistant plastic side panels"

    Re: Diamond Italia

Ive had a bit of a play around with the Diamond Italia.
If youre after great espresso it will do the job every bit as good as any HX E61 grup machine on the market.
If youre after a name you certainly can pay more and pick up something else. The oggee wont be any better and the machine wont look ay nicer.

The machine is abslutely stunning and with the panels not being entirely stainless . it makes it much easier (lighter) to move the machine around and take it on holidays with you or to a school fete where you can be assured it will pump out coffee after coffee wich traslates to some pretty good fund raising .

(Careful how you drive with it in the boot tho)

    Thoroughly recommended.
