    Domobar super pour spout

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Ok i havent had to make multiple multiple drinks at one go up till today.

What I have noticed is that the double pour spout on my PF it probably angled a little off?

When the shot is poured, the left cup gets majority of the shot.

Ill end up with say 40mls on the left and 20mls on the right...

    anyone else notice this?

The spout can be turned much further than you think! You just need a spanner to turn it further or just put washer b/w the spout and the portafilter.

I asked the same question b4 too, here is what I got from Luca:

I havent had a chance to put a LM portafilter into a vibiemme, seeing as we dont stock them, so I cant really give you an answer to that. *The LM portafilter will fit into the Makin. *Usually, its a matter of swapping a thinner gasket in if the PF wont tighten in.

Are you sure the machine is level?
If yes then you may be able to file the spout channel level.

Before you start jacking up your home, how about checking distribution & tamp? If its uneven, that will also cause the problem youre experiencing.

Ive tried to get mine off a couple of times with no success. Even a bench vice didnt help. I was worried about breaking the handle off!
Let us know how you do.

I got mine apart by pouring/dripping acetone into the spout, I think they use a drop of glue or something to hold it in place.
Came off easy with a bit of work.

Just used some super glue when screwing it back on (as its so annoying when your spout is loose etc..)

Ok i managed to take the single spout off. No Heat gun, no acetone, wrestled the goddam portafilter onto the ground.

Cloth wrapped around a screwdriver, into the spout, PF on the floor between my legs. It was ugly I tell you......

    Im sweating now...

    Re: Domobar super pour spout

Im glad you succeeded Gavin. I finally managed to get mine off as well. I used three pieces of wood--two to wedge the spout in my bench vice and one as a drift while I hammered the metal part of the handle around.

    A bit of an addendum--
I had a go with a borrowed bottomless portafilter for a couple of days. It was great to see the syrup ooze from the basket. It clearly showed I was having no problems with my preparation. It also improved the taste of the coffee and the crema was much frothier by not hitting the spout, splitting, and travelling sideways. So my spout is not being re-fitted. I always do doppio ristrettos anyway and now they are coming out much more like the bottomless PF produced them.
