    Hi Matt;

    Have you replace both seals. Number 4 and 5 (page 10 of 10)

    If you need it we have it in stock now.

    Really? OK. I did #5, but not the o-rings (#4). I figured they would just stop it leaking out the handle - mine only leaks out the steam tip. I can usually get it to seal by tightening the knob more, but it feels like I shouldnt need to tighten it that much...

    is 113 the BS o-ring size? (might be able to track down some freebies...)

    nope, its not a BS113... :( looks like a 111 or 112. Either way, that o-ring wont cause a drip from the tip.

    Sounds like the valve seat has been damaged mate.... :(

    I have no personal experience with your particular machine but on mine, the Steam and Hot Water knobs only need light finger pressure to close. Maybe youve been using excessive pressure from the outset and this has scored the brass seat excessively? :-?

    Nothing for it but to remove the valve completely, strip down, inspect and repair the seat then reassemble. All the best,

    Mal.

    Not sure how you can damage the valve seat - the plunger bottoms out before you crush the seal.

    I guess you two alternatives Matt....

    Buy a new Valve Body, new seals, etc and then reassemble using the innards from the original valve, or

    Strip down the original with the valve completely removed from the machine. Once you have the Valve Body on its own, you should be able to inspect the actual Valve Seat to see if there are any signs of scoring, galling or anything other than a perfectly flat and unmarred surface. Id then visit a local plumber or a machine shop and see if they have any suitable Seat Reconditioning Bits that you could borrow or conversely, ask them to do it for you. To the best of my knowledge though, the Seat is not a separate part but intrinsic with the Valve Body itself.

    Cheers mate,
    Mal.

    Seems to have improved after pulling it apart yesterday and reassembling... Hopefully no surgery needed.

    For what its worth my Junior barely needs more than a "nip up" to seal either the steam or water wands.

    Have had a coulpe of VBMs with this issue , seems there was a manufacturing fault with the valve body and the valve seat is machined incorrectly. Depending on the age of your machine it could possibly be a waranty issue , other wise solution is a new valve body.
