Izzo Vivi MK 1: boiler level solenoid?

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
This morning I did a descale of my Vivi and midway through I noticed that the boiler stopped refilling. The pump is still working and water is flowing from the tank and out the group head.

The boiler heats up and hits its usual operating temperature.

I think there is a solenoid somewhere for the boiler water level and probably a sensor too.

Any tips on what I should try now?

Any ideas about where I might find parts for this in Australia?

It was bought from Bella Barista in the UK and I dont know in the MK 1s were imported here. I could give them a call and order some parts.

Time to dust off the french press... no espresso this week I reckon. :-/

What parts? No one knows that until they diagnose the problem, and you are talking electrickery.

Best advice is take to nearest commercial esp machine service centre for diagnoses and repair. Theyre geared for diagnostics and repair of things that contain electrickery.

    Hope that helps.

The importer of the mahines is Talk Coffee (Chris) he is one of the CS sponsors. However, most of this machines use common parts. You will be able to get this part probably from as or coffeeparts.

Why did you descale? Did it need one? :-?

I regret I have never seen inside a Mk 1, so its time for a trip to a techie who is prepared to work on your machine.

    Cheers

Thanks for the replies, problem solved. 8-)

I removed and replaced the auto-fill probe and it worked again. Will keep a close eye on the machine to check it isnt an intermittent thing.

Yep, it did need a descale, but I just saw your pinned thread with the tip about how to tell when which is something Ill do.

I think the Mark Is are pretty much the same internally, the main change was to the steam arm.

    Good to know espressomonkey,

Glad youre up and running. Perhaps it might be worth looking at some filtration? The less you descale, the better. ;)
