VBM Losing Pressure When Pulling Shot

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight

I've had my Vibiemme Domobar Junior HX for about two years now and it's been great until recently. When pulling shots the pressure drops and the shot just fizzles out - similar to when you choke out a shot. The espresso starts flowing fine then seems like it struggles to the point where the pump seems to give up. The dial on the gauge slowly but steadily drops to 0. The boiler gauge and temps seem fine.

I've tried making the grind coarser and putting less grounds in the portafilter (using the same beans as I usually use) just to make sure it wasn't simply the beans. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

    Hello Joe,

Most likely either OPV not doing its thing or pump stall. In any event, it needs to be investigated...

    Good luck!
