Rocket Giotto Evoluzione R vs Mozzafiato Evoluzione R

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi guys,

Thinking about upgrading my Giotto V3 to another Rocket machine with rotary pump. I'm looking around on Rocket website and interested in two models Rocket Giotto Evoluzione R and Mozzafiato Evoluzione R. I can't really work out the difference between these models.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks.

Yep, same machine under the hood. Just different styling.

My personal opinion is not worth upgrading. I don't believe you're getting much more than what you currently have. V3 is a fairly recent model and a very high spec HX machine. Realistically should be getting 10+ years at a minimum.

When your pump dies, stick a rotary into yours then (I did mine) if you're the handy type. Otherwise just replace the pump with another vibe pump. A new rotary is nice, but a lot of $$$.

I agree - my parents have a V3 and I have a Mozzafiato Evoluzione R. The difference is not that big enough to justify an upgrade as both can give great coffee. Main benefits of mine are 1) it’s quieter when running, 2) It goes to the optimal pressure zone straight away, and 3) it’s slightly skinnier due to the shape which suits my apartment.

Point 2 is a questionable benefit - the V3 rewards good grinding and packing technique as you must have this to get to the green zone. You don’t get that feedback with mine until you taste it.

What’s your grinder situation? If you don’t have a great grinder I’d spend the money on that and see if you still want to upgrade your machine
