    OPV Whine

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
I had my over pressure valve replaced as it was leaking. The new one looks to be better quality with a brass adjustment screw as opposed to the nylon on on the old opv. The only problem is that the new one whines when it gets up to pressure.
Is there any way to stop the noise or will I have to put up with it?

    Regards
    Gavin

    Re: OPV Whine

So the coffee machine technician has spoken to Expobar about the opv. There suggestion was to tighten the opv until the whining stops. Only problem with that is it happens at 14bar! Is it too much to expect Expobar to supply a part that can run quietly at 9bar?

    Regards
    Gavin

    Gday Gavin,

Id say that there must be something wrong with the OPV "valve seat" uniformity that is not allowing the valve to seal properly.... Should approach Expobar for another replacement unit mate, I would...
