    BZ99S Problems

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hello everyone,
We recently acquired a BZ99 for free from a company that was getting rid of their unused machines.
Last night when it was brought home, after a bit of fiddling we managed to get it working and made a nice shot.
However today - no such luck, press the orange button and nothing happens, it just lights up and stays lit, no sound no nothing.
We dont have the users manual so I resort to the help of the internet :)
Im guessing there are a set of parameters that need to be met before the machine will start heating up the element. Could anyone please shed some light on the situation so we can work out the problem and get it working again?
Also if it isnt any trouble could anyone detail, or point us to the cleaning process? We got with it a bottle of detergent cleaner of some sort, designed for espresso machines apparently.
    Thanks

    Welcome to Coffee Snobs jaaazd.

Someone will surely come along soon that knows about your particular machine.
In the meantime I recommend leaving it off.
You dont want to do something that could cause it to burn out the elements.

As for the cleaning agent some more details would be appreciated.
    Is it a powder?
Is there a brand name etc?

The more you can tell us the better answers youll get.

    Lucky you by the way.
Do they have any more free machines? ;)

I did a net search and found pics of BZ99, it looks like a great pickup, hopefully you can rectify any problems and be producing killer shots before too long.

Yeah thanks fellas, Ill get the name of that detergent soon - cleaning was really an afterthought, not the most pressing issue at the moment.
No more free machines that I know of ;)
The place was using this one a few years ago before they upgraded, has been sitting in storage since.
Espresso machines Im learning, are a hard fought luxury.

Cleaning should not be an afterthought unless you like the taste of espresso strained through a smelly old sock.

I would make sure the water container is full of water, make sure the machine is plugged into the powerpoint and switched on and the orange light is on, then put a container under the steam wand and turn on the steam and wait to see if steam comes out, it takes a few minutes, once the steam starts turn it off and you are ready for coffee. If this does not happen you will have to have your machine repaired.

    Jaaad,

This machine is very simple, you must have half of the water tank at all times, or water must cover the sensors, if the water level is to low the machine will not work.

You can back flash this machine. If you need some parts we are service agents for Bezzeras in Sydney.

Give a call if you need some help.

    Best Regards

    Renzo
