    Rubber sleeves for steam wands

Has anyone ever purchased rubber (or other synthetic) rubber sleeves or grommets for their steam wands? I know that some machines come with them, so that holding the steam wand is cool to the touch.

I cut a short length of food grade clear tubing that I had lying around, slit it, wrapped it around the wand just above the elbow, and glued it back together with a couple of drops of super glue.
Its been on there a couple of months now and works great.

yes one came on the Breville 800es, first thing I ripped off the machine, can see no point to it, the VBM doesnt have one or need it, it is a lot easier to clean the wand without extra bits hanging of it, anyway you always have a towel or cloth nearby to use

    dont be a wimp ;)
