    FS [Brisbane] Rocket R58 V2

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
    Hi, I'm selling my Rocket R58 V2.

I purchased the machine brand new on the 24th of Jan 2017 from Coffee Parts in Sydney. I've decided to sell it to fund an upgrade to a La Marzocco GS3 MP.

The machine has worked flawlessly since the day I set it up and has been serviced once a year. The last service was conducted on the 3rd of June 2019 and came back with a clean bill of health. The report is available on request. I backflush the grouphead after every day of use and backflush using the Rocket cleaning solution once every 1-2 weeks.

I have been running filtered water through the machine from day 1. The water is filtered through a plumbed in Brita C150 system (C150 Finest Coffee Machine Water Filter Kit - Brita :: COFFEE & ICE FILTERS...) which is replaced every 12 months to ensure the water is as pure as possible. I've tested the water post filtering to ensure the hardness and alkalinity are within limits so that no scaling occurs within the boilers. As of the last test, the water returned a result of 25 mg/L CaCO3 General Hardness and 110 mg/L CaCO3 Carbonate Hardness (Alkalinity) with a pH of 7.5. This produces a Langelier saturation index of 0.15 which means almost no scaling will form in the boilers at standard temperatures. It is very important that the water quality is high and not very hard so that the machines internal parts last as long as they can. If you are genuinely interested in purchasing a high-quality espresso machine I recommend you investigate buying a filtration system similar to the one shown above.

Aesthetically the machine is brand new besides a few very light scratches on the top panel where the cups sit and on the drip tray, again where the cup sits during extraction. These could easily be polished out but would come back as soon as cups are placed back on the surface. Otherwise, there is not a single blemish on the machine. The panels are polished to a mirror finish.

I'm including a few additional items with the machine. They include a genuine Rocket naked portafilter ($89 new), a Pesado 58.5 competition shower screen with silicone gasket ($47 new) and a 4-hole steam wand tip ($20 new). As seen in the pictures, the machine also comes with all of the stock accessories as well.

The machine comes in the original box, packaging and protective case. This means that it could be shipped at the buyer’s expense. I will also supply the original receipt and service records.

I'm happy to show prospective buyers over the machine if they are genuinely interested. The price is $3350 firm. I'm located in Kenmore, Brisbane (4069) and pickup would be the easiest way to receive the machine, but it could be shipped at the buyers expense.

    Cheers,
    Angus.
