    FS [MELB] KVW Speedster

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
If you haven't heard of the speedster then you probably don't want one. I'm not going to extoll the virtues of this classic and iconic machine.

I think this is a 2012. I've had the machine for about half of that time. It's been regularly serviced by Rick the Coffeemachinist. Most recent service was two weeks ago and included replacement of the boiler fill control board and relay, service of the group and steam valve and anti-vac rebuild.

As for extra; it comes with two fancy wooden handled bottomless portafilters with VST 20 and 22 gram baskets and IMS E61 200 IM screen.

    Looking for $9k

    Wow Deano.

    Everything's for sale or sold!

What do you have left for coffee? Campfire and a billy?

If I told you they'd take away by CS password.

Nah - I'm still going to be drinking coffee. I have endless other options including a really sweet Elektra Micro Casa Lever which I'm sure makes the best coffee I've ever made.

    Cheers Dean.

i believe its just a setting as i looked into it a while ago when someone else had one for sale

this is from the installation guide

A 220-240 VAC Speedster has a maximum power consumption of 3100 Watts from your AC-outlet
(max. power consumption limiter is disabled). This occurs when all three heating spirals and the pump
are active simultaneously. At 230 Volts this is equivalent to approximately 13.5 amps. We therefore
recommend that the machine has its own dedicated power circuit breaker. The max. power
consumption limiter can be made active to reduce maximum power consumption to 2300 Watts, 10
amps at 230 VAC; see leaflet that came with the Speedster

Iíve been using it very successfully for years on a 10 amp circuit shared with the grinder and other stuff without blowing any breaker.

So; I've got my eye on a replacement for the Speedster. It goes up in price 1 September so I'm at a cross roads...

I'm reducing the asking price to $8k for the next two weeks. After that, I'll simply keep the speedster which I do actually love.

Take advantage of me quick, before I regain my senses.

Agree John - at circa 50% of current retail price, it is priced well. Very good machine indeed.

I like the R9 for her personality, not her looks.
