    Organic Espresso Blend

Gene Cafe Coffee Roaster $850 - Free Beans Free Freight
Does anyone have any reviews on this blend? How does it compare to Espresso Wow?

Well... it seems this one isn’t too popular first and last thread May 2013!

Ordered some last week and it’s on its way express to Perth. Hope it beats the hot weather.

Tasting notes sound quite good, looking forward to giving it a try

    Well...
near half a million posts on CoffeeSnobs so not all the "one liner" posts will get an answer if for no other reason than they disappear down the page.

Espresso Organic is actually pretty popular and we see the same customers buy it over and over again (which is always a good sign) and it's won competition medals too.

My one word description for it would be "soft". Not in a disinteresting way, but in a rounded, smooth style with good mouthfeel. The perfect espresso trainer for someone who thinks that a straight doubleshot is too big.

Your average cappuccino/latte drinker could try this as an espresso and would likely remark something like "hey, I could drink that!". Works okay in milk too but not too much else it tends to disappear, great coffee for a macchiato though.

Thanks Andy. Sounds just the thing, the stuff I’m drinking now is perfect in milk drinks but not so pleasant as an espresso for a novice.

Not sure if I’ll be buying beans over summer, going to get damn hot in AusPosts vans on its way over here. Happy to be advised otherwise if I’m being overly cautious.

pls forgive my attempt at humour....

parcel arrived in good order thanks Andy. Love the CS bags you use, best I've seen

Your description is exactly as I found it, had a smallish flat white with 20g in 32g out in 30 sec @ 95deg. Very subtle, the aftertaste is very pleasant.

Glad you like the bags and the contents.

Overly cautious? Maybe. We ship to places a lot hotter than you and they are fine. I think the fact the beans are fresh roasted and still degassing helps with long haul freight too.

    Thanks Andy, noted
I’ve had a look at the tasting notes, looking for something a bit more robust that cuts through milk, with a definite dark chocolate/cocoa aftertaste. For the wife. She has a fw or latte with 220ml milk.
We have a local bean she quite likes, but why not support the snobbery
    Can you recommend something please?
